Kayal ahad ikrar vaahido vaahad vaaro keen visaar;
Tan man dhan je sunder jaar men faasi gaafal keen guzaar. Saaji jahin heey saji srishti sahib sirjanhaar sacho; Sangi saathi kaayam daayam har ja hik nirankar sacho. Jahin deey dina sampateeyo sabh such tahinjo kar tun sada shukar; Ahide peer sakhee satgur jo avtar chahve kar sada jikar. |

O' man, why have you forgotten all the vows, pledges and promises with God?
O' ignorant man, why do you pass your life caught into the fascinating net of pleasures of body, mind and wealth? The Lord Creator who has created the entire universe, is true; Friend and companion, eternal and omnipresent, the Formless One is true. You must always be grateful to God, who has given all this wealth to you; Avtar says, you must always glorify the great benevolent True Master. |
Meaning
This verse encourages humans to always remember God. Do not forge the promise done to the God. Do not get trapped in the worldly pleasures of body, mind and wealth. The Lord Creator who has created the entire universe, is our true friend. The Formless One is the only infinite and omnipresent friend. Be always thankful to God, who has given all this wealth to you. Here Baba Avtar Singh ji says, you must always remember the True Master.
